2.1 Give and Serve

We believe in Servant Leadership.  The agents do not work for the broker, the broker works for the agents.  The agent serves the clients. Personal power works much better than position power

2.2 Inspire Greatness

The enemy of great is good. We do not aspire to be adequate, we aspire to be extraordinary and to create a world-class consumer experience for our clients.

Self-image problems are rooted in a lack of skills and training.   Our job is to teach people to believe in themselves and to help agents overcome doubt and uncertainty.  It is our goal to bring out the best in the people around us, personally and professionally. Greatness does not necessarily mean high productivity.  Agents with modest production goals and aspirations are welcome at Key. Our focus as a company is on helping the agent achieve their own goals and aspirations confidently and competently.

2.3 Scrappy and Lean

We are entrepreneurs. And because of this status, we have special

responsibilities. Part of being a business owner should be intentional frugality. Excessive overhead is the primary limitation of any business enterprise.   Frugality can make you responsive and mobile. You can capitalize on opportunities, remain strong and weather changes in the business climate. We believe that agents should question every cost, remained financially vigilant and be conservative in financial planning

2.4 Win-win or Walk Way

This business is not supposed to hurt.  Difficult people can be challenging, sue us and many times, are not worth the time and energy.  These are unstable people with unhealthy coping strategies. Your willingness to terminate unhealthy relationships can be a critical strategy for moving your career forward.  Once we have identified someone as extremely difficult, we should walk away quickly.

One of the most important core beliefs and business practices of the company is our “Easy Exit” guarantee. This process allows our clients to cancel at any time.

Key Realty also has an “Easy Exit Agreement” where Key agents can depart the company at any time and receive any pending commissions minus expenses, have all of their listings released and a company guarantee that Key Realty will not solicit their clients for future business.

2.5 Embrace Education

Ignorance is not bliss in the real estate business.  Key agents are far more productive than the industry average. Our high per-person productivity is the result of our training and education programs.

We see education as a group or collective management.  Everybody learns our business one way or another and we believe this is the most efficient and effective way to do so.  Training is the backbone of our productivity, our culture, and our company. Simply stated, we believe that training and education produce competence which produces confidence which produces productivity.

2.6 Let The Knife Do The Work

The traditional residential real estate model has a failure rate for new agents of 77%.  The Key success rate for new agents who have successfully completed our training  Is 97%. The agents in the company that are most successful are the ones who take advantage of our educational opportunities, remained engaged and continue to update their skills.   There is a wealth of programs and services available throughout the key system and we strongly encourage all agents not to “reinvent the wheel,” but simply to utilize our proven systems for success in the real estate profession.

2.7 Always Be Improving

Life is simple, the only way to get better is to change.  We do not resist change, rather we embrace it and are intentional about making it part of the company culture.

Every agent within Key should be intentional, structured and disciplined about operating skill sets, presentations, and responses in their career.
